ShadePlex products are based on patent-pending and proprietary processes that create durable bonds between thin-film, flexible solar material and architectural fabrics. They are engineered for use in a variety of applications, including parking shade canopies for cars and electric vehicles, enclosed/clearspan structures, commercial roofs, and military & emergency relief tents.

PV-FlexMount is currently available in 92, 110 and 330 watt power classes and is ideal for use in parking shade canopies for cars and electric vehicle charging stations. With PV-FlexMount installed, your parking lot solar array will be equipped with 1 kilowatt (kW) of nameplate power per parking space, and on average it will generate between 4,000 and 7,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of clean, renewable electricity per parking space each day. Depending on location and time of year, it will generate even more.

The typical airport, hotel, mall, school or office building has hundreds if not thousands of open, unshaded parking spaces, which means shade structures using PV-FlexMount can easily support typical commercial power loads in addition to providing shade, UV resistance, and protection from the elements.

Fast, easy installation and removability. Because PV-FlexMount is both a fabric and a solar panel, it eliminates the need for a base canopy fabric in new installations. Using standard extruded rails or racks, PV-FlexMount can be installed quickly and easily to form a full shade structure with color, flow, and an active solar area. To retrofit existing base canopy fabrics, PV-FlexMount can be installed using standard hot air welding techniques. For both shade structures and flat roof projects, PV-FlexMount can be quickly and easily removed to access the fabric structure or underlying roof membrane when repairs or servicing is needed. |
